4 Confirmed Dead, 4 Others Injured In Fatal Accident

At about 1130hrs on Monday morning, a multiple fatal crash occurred as a result of break failure and loss of control involving a red 911 Mercedes Benz with registration number JJT 168 XG, a Toyota Camry car with registration number FST 122 DQ and a white Toyota Hiace bus belonging to Izuchukwu Motors with registration number ABN 430 YN at Obosi Slaughter near Obosi Police Division along Onitsha – Owerri Road, Anambra State.


A total of Thirteen (13) people (8) Male adults and (5) female adults were involved in the crash. Two (2) Male adults and (2) female adults, who sustained varying degrees of injury, were rushed to Unit Hospital Obosi, by FRSC rescue team from Oraifite Unit Command and corpses deposited at the morgue after they were confirmed dead by the Doctors in the hospital. The road obstruction was eventually cleared to ensure free flow of traffic.

The Sector Commander Federal Road Safety Corps, Anambra State, CC Andrew A. Kumapayi, while praying for God to grant the deceased families the fortitude to bear the irrevocable loss and the injured victims quick recovery, admonished motorists to embark on regular maintenance of vehicles and ensure their vehicles meet the minimum safety standards before putting them on the road to avoid undue Crashes on our roads.
