Forty automobile technicians in Cross River State have been empowered with ultra-modern customised tool boxes.
A leading lubricant company, AMMASCO carried out the empowerment worth N6 million in Calabar on Thursday as part of the company’s partnership with the Nigeria Automobile Technicians Association.

“The toolbox is customised and mainly for NATA mechanics and were bought in dollars with each costing an equivalent of about N150,000. The boxes contain all what the mechanic needs to carry out his task,” he said.
Matazu revealed that so far, over 1000 technicians across the country have been empowered with the tools.
He added that, “AMMASCO is committed to the welfare of NATA members and donated over N50 million worth of food items to NATA members during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“AMMASCO Regional Manager in the South South, Fabiyi Olawale, charged the beneficiaries to make good use of the boxes, while Chairman of NATA Cross River State Council John Ayabie, said “the box is complete and one can do anything he wants to do on a vehicle with the box.”
He said Cross River State NATA which has over 5000 members are happy with the partnership with AMMASCO.
One of the beneficiaries, 56 year-old Honda mechanic from Yala, Augustine Ubaka, thanked the company for giving them the tool boxes and attributed it to God’s will.
He said in his 46 years practice as a mechanic he has not received such empowerment.
