6 Members Of Notorious Armed Gang Busted During Operation In Lagos

Police detectives from the Lagos State Command have coordinated operations and arrested six armed robbers belonging to two different gangs, notorious for dispossessing unsuspecting victims of their valuables within Ajegunle and Alaba-Rago areas of Lagos State. 
P.M.EXPRESS reports that during the operation, the Police also recovered locally made gun, operational motorcycle and mobile phones as exhibits.
This was disclosed by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, who confirmed that the suspects were in Police custody undergoing interrogation over their criminal conduct.
Their arrest followed swift investigations into reports of activities of the robbers in the areas.
He identified the suspects as: Chukwuemeka Emmanuel, 21, Chukwuebuka Innocent, 24, Umaru Isah, 21, Emmanuel Ita, 19, Olayitan Ayinde,  18 and Moshood Ayinde 25.
He stated that they were arrested in different areas of the state, while efforts are being intensified to arrest other fleeing members of the gangs and recover other weapons.
He stated that the arrest followed swift investigations into reports of activities of the robbers in the areas and the Police moved into action and arrested the suspects while other gang members escaped and are now at large.
He explained that one unregistered TVS motorcycle, one locally made gun, one Infinix Note 7 and one iPhone 7 were recovered from the suspects.
Suspects will be arraigned at the end of investigations.
The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Idowu Owohunwa, charged Lagosians to promptly alert the Police to suspicious happenings in their localities to further enable the Police rid the state of crime and criminality.
