Ekwunife Joins Mr & Mrs Ceaser Okoye As Their Daughter, Chiziterem Recieves Sacrament Of Baptism

The Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Uche Ekwunife, PhD, on Sunday October 31, 2021 attended the baptism of little Miss Chiziritem Lilian, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ceaser Okoye held at St. Lawrence Chapel, Awka.

The rite of baptism Mass, which was celebrated by the Chaplain, Rev. Fr. Paulinus Okonkwo had in attendance the President General of Nri Kingdom, Chief Dr Kelvin Obiegbunam (Oba Ochendo), former Chairman ASUBEB, Dr Rose Nwankwo amongst others.

Speaking, Ekwunife, who was the godparent of little Chiziritem Okoye, described baptism as a very significant sacrament in the Christendom, adding that the role of a godparent/godparents is to assist the parents with the essential task of raising children in firm Catholic faith and virtues.

The Senator noted that she had joyfully embraced the role and would always be in contact with the child and her parents.

Ekwunife, however, congratulated the parents and charged them to give the child the best upbringing in line with Catholic faith.
