Bigi Consumer Wins Abeokuta 10KM Race, Praises Brand For Inspiration

A Bigi consumer, Ismael Sadjo, from Cross River State emerged the winner of the Bigi Abeokuta 10km road race which was held at the ancient city on Saturday, November 13th, 2021.

He went home with the grand prize of $2000.

Sadjo applauded Bigi for making his victory a refreshing one.

“Bigi water is the best drinking water,” he said.

Sadjo further revealed that the refreshing nature of the water helped stabilize his heartbeat during the race and gave him more energy to finish strong. 

The truly world class and proudly Nigerian brand is the headline sponsor of the Abeokuta 10km road race tagged Naija, Race for Homeland, organized by Nilayo Sports Management Limited (NSML).

The premium table water provided moments of refreshment and hydration for runners, sport lovers, guests and indigenes at the race.

It also provided water points at intervals during the 10km road race. As such, there were surplus bottles of the fantastically refreshing table water for the road for all runners, guests and indigenes who flooded the ancient city to experience the fun.

When people run, they generate 20 times more heat than when they are at rest. The Bigi water helped minimize the heat as it provided adequate hydration for the runners which improved recovery, minimized injury and cramping and maximized performance during the race. The proper hydration provided by Bigi water ensured the safe arrival of all the runners at the finish point, thereby preventing heat strokes and any casualty during the race.

He expressed Governor Dapo Abiodun’s appreciation to Rite Foods for creating a platform of social value that would build talents, engage the youths and spur them to greatness.

Stephen Joseph from Plateau State emerged second with a finishing time of 31:47:82, coming closely behind Sadjo with 31:03:81. He took home the sum of $1500O.

Emmanuel Gyang emerged third at the arrival of 32:15:00 and won the sum of $1000.

In the female category, Rose Akusho came first at arrival of 36:33:30, followed by Vera Yohanna at arrival of 37:10:17 while Patience Dalyop emerged third at arrival of 37:4:02. All female winners are from Plateau State.
