Education Will Remain At The Forefront Of My Representation, Ekwunife Reassures Constituents

The Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Uche Ekwunife, PhD, has reassured that education would remain at the forefront of her representation, adding that the sector remains the bedrock for the development of any society. She noted that she would prioritize investment in the sector.

Ekwunife, who spoke on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at Okpuno, while flagging off a block of 6 Classrooms at Community Primary School Okpuno, Awka South LGA, noted that investment in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) will boost the educational sector, urging government at all levels to allocate more budgetary funds to the sector.

Continuing, the ranking Senator reserved special encomium to teachers for their roles in instilling values and good morals the students need to succeed in life. Ekwunife charged teachers to ensure they utilize up-to-date curriculum to provide the students with powerful academic knowledge.

Ekwunife noted that her motivation was solely service to the people, stressing that improvement of education, health and infrastructure are key pillars in the advancement of any society. The quintessential lawmaker assured that the school project would be completed in January.

Appreciating the community, the Chairman Senate Committee on Science, Technology and Innovation stated that she has special interest for the people of Okpuno, saying that she would keep attracting developmental projects across the communities in the zone.

Welcoming the Senator, the President General of the community, Comrade Ignatius Okoye commended Ekwunife for her visionary and transformational representation, adding that she has endeared herself to the hearts of her constituents. He noted that the Senator still has a lot in stock to offer to the people in terms of governance.

The community leader further described Ekwunife as one of them, assuring that the community will keep supporting her political ambitions. 

“You are one of the best lawmakers in the country, your representation is being felt across the zone especially in Okpuno community and we will continue to support your political ambitions”, the community leader noted.

On her part, the headmistress of the school, Mrs. Patience Onwudiofu expressed delight by the educational project attracted to the school by Ekwunife. She highlighted the projects the A-grade lawmaker has attracted in the community and prayed God to continue to bless her endeavours.

Speaking, the Manager of the school, Rev. Canon Onyeka Egwuonwu, represented by Rev. Elochukwu Obi, conveyed the appreciation of the school management to the Senator. He prayed God to continue to direct the path of Ekwunife so she can continue to attract developmental projects to constituents.

Earlier, the Senator led her project team to pay homage to the palace of the traditional ruler of the Okpuno community, HRM Igwe Engr. S.I. Okafor (Ogene Okpuno). She expressed her deep appreciation for the support, solidarity and encouragement she receives from the community.
