Ekwunife Begins Inspection Of Numerous Completed & Ongoing Projects Across Anambra Central Senatorial District

Posted on December 3, 2021

A new wave of excitement has enveloped the entire Anambra Central Senatorial District as the Senator representing the zone, Uche Ekwunife, PhD, is set to commission some completed projects across the Senatorial District. The commissioning was preceded by inspection and flag-off of several completed and ongoing projects across the District.

Ekwunife, who was on Thursday, December 2, 2021, represented by a delegation of her project committee led by a member of the committee and Anambra State former Chairman of ASUBEB, Dr Rose Nwankwo, visited several project sites including the completed Awovu village road Enugwu-Ukwu, the ongoing Onukwube/Kabe college road Amawbia and St. Matthias Catholic church/Igbadisi road Umuowelle Agulu.

The committee equally visited some sites where solar-powered street-lights were being mounted in their numbers by contractors, of which Ngozika, Udoka and Iyiagu estates were their first port of call.

Speaking during the inspection visits, Dr Nwankwo noted that the exercise was aimed at supervising the quality of work done at the sites in line with the mandate of the committee.

She said that the committee visited the sites to also interact with residents of the areas where these projects are cited to get first hand information on how the projects are being executed.

“The project inspection is an ongoing exercise expected to put contractors on their toes to deliver a quality job as the Senator will in no distant time begin commissioning of some of these projects. We want to be sure that the projects are in good shape before they are handed over to the host communities.”

“As you can see, aside the completed projects, some new projects were flagged off today in line with Senator Ekwunife’s commitment to deliver effective and purposeful representation to Ndi Anambra Central”, Nwankwo stated.

Concluding, Dr Nwankwo reiterated that Senator Ekwunife remains committed to fulfilling her campaign promises to the people. She urged constituents to remember the Federal lawmaker in their prayers as she strives to deliver more dividends of democracy to Ndi Anambra Central and beyond.

Other members of the committee, who were present include Legislative Aide to the Senator, Hon Ifeyinwa Chinwuko, former Managing Director of Anambra State Physical Planning Board, Chief Victor Okpoko, Njikoka LGA project supervisor, Comrade ABC Ubani, SUE LGA Coordinators, Onyi Nwokeke and Magnus Obodoeze, PDP party stakeholders amongst others.
