Man, 33, Who Uses Toyota Avensis Car To Steal Goats Caught

For quite a long time, residents of Ijedodo area of Ijegun in the outskirts Lagos State, have not known peace over the disappearance of their goats in the area until 28th November, 2021.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that on the above mentioned date, a 33-year old man, Michael Isiadohomen, was caught early in the morning while he stole two goats and hid inside the boot of his Toyota Avensis car, with registration number HB515AAA, with his accomplice who is now at large.
As he wanted to drive out with the goats, the security men on duty accosted him to know if he was the owner of the goats. His accomplice, having realized they have been caught, fled away from the scene.
The suspect, Isiadohomen, was then apprehended and handed over to the Police at Isheri Oshun Division with both the goats and car as exhibits.
During investigation, it was discovered that he had been responsible for the missing goats in the area, which the members of the community have been suspecting security men on duty of stealing because the security guards were unable to explain how the goats got missing.
It was gathered that the suspect used his car to steal goats and supply to food vendors before he ran out of luck.
Having been found culpable, he has been charged before the Ejigbo Magistrates Court for conspiracy and stealing the two goats worth N60,000.
He pleaded guilty.
The prosecutor, Inspector Simeon Njue, asked the Court to give a date for facts and sentence since he has pleaded guilty for him to be sentenced accordingly.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. A. S. Okubule, ordered his remand in custody and adjourned the matter for facts and sentence, which will determine if the vehicle he used to commit the alleged offence will be forfeited to the Government.
