I Remain Committed To The Welfare Of Ndi Anambra Central, Ekwunife Reassures

The Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Uche Ekwunife, PhD, has reassured her constituents of her unwavering commitment to their welfare, well being and economic prosperity, adding that her representation will leave a mark in the history of the zone. She urged the electorate to always elect leaders with a visionary sense of responsibility.

Ekwunife, who spoke on Saturday, 12th February, 2022, at Ogidi, Idemili North LGA, at the inspection of her ongoing road infrastructural project noted that purposeful representation was a function of how far a lawmaker could go on being a strong voice on the floor of the senate and attracting tangibles to the constituents. She affirmed that the road upon completion would be strategic in the speedy development of the area.

Speaking further, the federal lawmaker commended the ingenuity and efforts of the people of Ogidi in the evolution and development of their community, describing them as people who are blessed with enormous human capital.

The Chairman Senate Committee on Science, Technology and Innovation, who was represented by a delegation of her project team led by her legislative aide, Mrs. Ifeyinwa Chinwuko, urged the community to monitor and ensure timely completion of the road by the contractor.

While appreciating the legislative strides of the quintessential lawmaker, an indigene of the community, Mr. Augustine Nwankwo expressed delight in witnessing the asphalting stage of the ongoing project, adding that the grassroots-friendly lawmaker should be supported to do more. The community leader noted that he was hopeful that Ekwunife would attract more developmental projects to constituents.

Similarly, another indigene of the community, Mr. Ekene Achebe remarked that Ekwunife had remembered their community by attracting the dividends of democracy to the people of Ogidi, stressing that her representation is being felt across the zone and beyond. He urged constituents to keep supporting the lawmaker for more quality representation.

Meanwhile, the site engineer of the project’s constructing firm, Engr. Michael Uwaezuoke said that the firm is working hard to ensure that the project is completed within stipulated time. He noted that the road is 90% completed, adding that the next phase would be road marking while stressing that the people have been impressed with the quality of work at the site.
