President Buhari Names Mohammed  Abdullahi As Environment Minister

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the immediate re-deployment of Mohammed H. Abdullahi as the new Minister of Environment.

According to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) Mr. Boss Mustapha, the development is with effect from 6th April, 2022.

Until his appointment, Mohammed H. Abdullahi, a lawyer, was the Minister of State for Science, Technology and Innovation.
“The President hopes that he would bring his wealth of experience to bear on his new assignment for the growth of the country,” the statement said.
Recall Ms. Sharon Ikeazor, also a lawyer, politician and management consultant, is the Minister of State for Environment.
 She was the former executive secretary of the Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD) before her ministerial appointment in August 2019.
