Ogun Central: Excitement As Princess Majekodunmi-Oniru Set To Replace Amosun At Senate

As the electioneering atmosphere across the country continue to gather momentum ahead of primary elections in various parties, one of the Senatorial district that has been attracting interest in the South-West, Ogun-State in particular is Ogun Central where the incumbent, former Governor of Ogun-State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has just declared to run for the President of the Country.

Poised to replace the former Governor at the National Assembly for the Ogun-Central with overwhelming support from leaders of the Party is young and Vibrant leader, Princess Olatorera Majekodunmi-Oniru.

A distinguished global brand, Olatorera, the delectable woman, an Egba descendant who hails from the very popular Majekodunmi family, has got her Senatorial ambition on a right footing with several endorsement from leaders of her party, All Progressives Congress both in the State and at the national level.

Princess Majekodunmi-Oniru who runs a new-generation consulting company providing business development and consulting services to established companies and high net-worth individuals with critical and analytical services to enable them to innovate and serve their clients more effectively and efficiently using digital resources and modern strategies.

Olatorera who was the first to indicate her interest in vying for the Ogun Central seat since 2021, also provides the seal and stamp of Africa’s Best to enable great companies compete stronger on a global scale and publishes an annual list of “Africa’s Best 100 Companies” and “Africa’s Best 100 Leaders.

According to Princess Majekodunmi who is married to the Lagos royal family of Oniru, her interest in politics is to positively affect development to Ogun Central and Nigeria as a whole through quality representation at the Nigerian Senate.

Primaries are set for May 18 2022 and General Elections February 18 2023. Our push for Greater Nigeria will be achieved…We will advocate and establish strong laws and institutions with checks and balances to propel our developing economy with every citizen well accounted for.”

She continued “Together, we will push our dreams of Greater Nigeria to increase the standard of living, we must have a stable electricity supply, we must capitalize on our agricultural growth potentials and we must ensure the highest quality primary, secondary and tertiary education for each and every citizen.”

Meanwhile, Majekodunmi-Oniru’s Senatorial ambition has been boosted by the recent Executive order declaration of Governor Dapo Abiodun stating a minimum of 35% representation of Women in Government at every level.
