Imo Deputy Speaker, Iwuanyanwu Congratulates Gov Uzodimma Over Emergence As Sun Best Governor Of The Year

The Deputy Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly and member representing Nwangele Constitutency, Rt. Hon Amara Chyna Iwuanyanwu, has congratulated the Imo State Governor, His Excellency, Distinguished, Sen. Hope Uzodimma, on his emergence as the 2021 ‘ SUN Best Governor Of The Year Award.’

Amara Iwuanyanwu, in a succintly written statement on Monday morning, described the prestigious SUN Award conferred on the Imo Governor as well deserved and timely, which did not come as a surprise to many keen and dispassionate observers of the political trajectory and track record of Senator Hope Uzodimma since assumption of office on January 15th, 2020.

Speaking to newsmen at Owerri Civic Center on arrival from the watershed event; the Deputy Speaker maintained: “It’s quite gratifying as well as endearing to note that after painstaking scrutiny of the SUN Editorial Board of all the nominees for the 2021 SUN Award – 19th Edition, which held on May 7, 2022, at the Eko Hotels & Suites in Lagos State, His Excellency, Governor Hope Uzodimma was found worthy to be conferred with such prestigious award given his Administration’s penchant for infrastructural development and capacity building in all the sectors of the state economy” the egghead State Legislator posited.

In his own words, the Deputy Speaker was quoted to have said: “We sincerely commend the Management of SUN Newspapers for their objective, sincere and thorough assessment in honouring our dear Governor, His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, a man who has relentlessly amid social challenges in the state improved all sectors of the economy; agriculture, infrastructure, urban renewal, energized workforce, youth empowerment, capacity building, etc”.
