The Black Hole In Human Mind

Let your conscience court lead your actions and inactions, for that is the first responsibility of being human. This view point of realism can be correlated with a multiple award Winning British short film, labelled ‘THE BLACK HOLE’, which portrayed the uncontrollably growth of insatiable greed in human mind, which certainly leads to doom.
The infiltration of this state of cupidity in human mind eradicates the inherent empathy that makes one psychologically feel and share from agony of fellow humans. It makes one ignorantly and deliberately hurt others for his or her selfish interests. It appears as a seed in human heart. Once it gains free access to the soil of opportunity, it will produce an insatiable leviathan that craves for more than necessary at the detriment of others. It is nothing but a cancer in the heart of the carrier.
This is the heart posture of majority of the political actors in Africa, which has equally been adopted by majority of african citizens. Corruption blindfolds men with the veil of immediate ephemeral profits and prevents them from seeing the long time gains resident in securing juicy future collectively. Till date, in Nigeria, the so called political Lord of the skies has not seen anything wrong with selling and buying of votes. Yet, known corrupt individuals are presenting themselves for elective positions. Still in chain!
There is no way compassion can be taken away from being human. It is one of the major attributes of humanity. Honour is accrued to him who sowed virtue.
When one loses dominion over self, he becomes prey to the unorthodoxies of life, accepting corrupt means as norm as far as it glorifies his greed. He becomes a stern opposition to the inherent position of his conscience court, Justifying his odds while suppressing the guilt in him. In his bid to justify odd deeds, he will borrow the saying of ‘if you can’t beat them you join them’. Join them to destroy your society, your people and your collective future? Or, join them to promote sorrow, torture, hunger, lack and want, illiteracy, unemployment, insecurity and deaths?
In the short film, ‘THE BLACK HOLE’, as directed by Olly Williams and Phil Samson. A sleep deprived office worker photocopies a black hole that made the possibility of penetrating every barrier through the black spot on the paper. The cast, Napoleon Ryan’s greed grew from stealing a chocolate in automated machine to stealing from a strongroom as he discovered an endless opportunity in the barrier breaking black hole paper.
He collected much money from a money safe and entered the safe through the magical black hole on the paper possibly to grab more money. The black hole paper fell off from the body of the money safe box and he automatically became a prisoner inside the safe box. In the same vein, corruption is like a wine that sweetens the mouth and later turns to stone. It is a game of outright imbecility, played by short sighted political animals, celebrated, applauded and defended by know nothings in the open field of mental slavery.
The corrupt is not just the man stealing or mismanaging public funds. Also, an accomplice is the one who facilitated his enthronement either through bribes, violence, selling or buying of votes, tribalism, religious sentiments, partisan extremism or what have you.
Please Note This: Those who vote in favour of bad leaders together with those who partake not in voting are not victims of bad system but accomplices to the bad system.
Corruption is the production factory of all manners of crimes.
Only those who have seen the light of humanity, the beauty of justice and the prosperity in a free and fair ambiance don’t get attracted to the pseodo glittery of fool’s gold resident in the embezzlement of public funds.
Conclusion: Corruption is an act of illiteracy.
