You Must Beef Up Security In Your Communities, Group Charges Nigerian Youths

With the spate of terror attacks, kidnapping and banditry going on the country, a non political group, Ondo State Indigenous Youth Forum (OSIYOF) has enjoined the youths to take charge of security in their respective communities.

According to the National President of the OSIYOF, Otunba Babatunde Adegunloye said it becomes necessary for the abled body men in the communities to see to the security of their domains, adding that the situation in the country has shown that security agencies need the people’s help.

“The recent attack in Owo has shown that all the youth need to be vigilant at there respective communities. We must not be caught unaware again,” Adegunloye said.

The group also commiserates with Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State and the families of the people who died on the attack.

Meanwhile, the OSIYOF has called on Nigerian youths to watch out for politicians who may want to use them to perpetrate violence as the 2023 general elections draw closer.

‘Our youths must not allow the politicians to use them for evil acts. It is very important for us to sensitise the youths for them not to be used as instruments of evil by politicians. We want them to go for their PVCs now,” he said.

While congratulating the people who have emerged as flagbearers of their respective parties for elective positions in the general elections, Adegunloye appreciate Governor Akeredolu and his deputy and many people who who showing their support for the success of the forthcoming Ondo State Political Stakeholders (OSPOSH) Summit & Leadership Award 2022 which the Ondo State Indigenous Youth Forum (OSIYOF) will organised on 26 November 2022.
