You’re An Uncommon Legislator, Isimili Nibo Tells Ekwunife

Nibo community in Awka South Local Government area of Anambra State was agog as a major stakeholder in the community, Chief Dr Kanayo Ughamadu (Isimili Nibo), hosted the Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Uche Ekwunife, PhD in his palatial home on Sunday, July 31, 2022.

Welcoming the Senator and her entourage, Dr Ughamadu revealed that his reason for throwing his weight behind Ekwunife is because she has performed excellently well in the Senate and should be supported to do more.

“Ekwunife is someone I have carefully followed her activities from her time in the house of representatives. The impact and quality of her representation particularly in the 9th Senate, is marvelling. I am supporting her because I’m convinced that she is the best to represent our people”, Ughamadu said.

Speaking at the gathering, Senator Ekwunife while appreciating Dr Ughamadu for his hospitality said that Nibo is one of the communities that has continued to give her massive support, adding that she will continue to ensure that the community never regrets throwing their weight behind her.

The Senator said that since her entrance into the 9th Senate she has remained true to her vision of offering the people of the Senatorial District the best representation in its history. She listed some of her projects in the community, noting that she will do more for the zone if re-elected.

On his part, the President General of the community, Prof Tony Nwokoye thanked Ekwunife for his numerous projects in the community. He stated that the community is pleased with her representation and will reward her accordingly.

In his remarks, the immediate-past Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Anambra state, Chief Ndubuisi Nwobu described Senator Ekwunife as a performer and the most credible candidate for Senate Anambra Central in 2023. He urged the people of Nibo to reward her unmatched performance with their votes.

The event was attended by notable personalities in the community including High Chief Dr Emeka Okeke(Omeino Nibo), Chief Chiedu Obiekwe(Omemma Nibo), Chief Chuba Erike (Ikolo Nibo), High Chief Dan Okafor(Ibo Nibo), Chief Chukwujekwu Ezunu (Ogbuagu Nibo), Engr Moses Chigozie Anene (Moses Of Our Time).

Others were Ozo Sir Jerome Ugagu, Ozo Dr Thomas Okonkwo, Ozo Umeadi Nwabuisi, Nze Christian Okpala (Igwe Enugo), Dr Ifeanyi Ezeobi (President Awka/Amawbia City Club) and other club members.

On the Senator’s encourage were, the President General of Nri Kingdom, Chief Dr Kelvin Obiegbunam, former Chairman of ASUBEB, Associate-Professor Rose Nwankwo, Chief Dennis Anaekwe (Omenyi Enugwu-Ukwu na Umunri), Hon Sylvester Onwudinjo, Chairman of Senator Uche Ekwunife Campaign Organization, Ichie Edwin Ubboh, Director General of the campaign organization, Chief A. A Anagu, former commissioner of commerce and industry, Barr. Ken Arinze, Legislative Aide to Senator Ekwunife, Hon Ifeyinwa Chinwuko amongst others.

Also present were the PDP Awka South Local Government Chairman, Barr Emma Odum, party executives in the three wards in Nibo and some women leaders in the community.
