Moghalu Sends Goodwill Message To Bishop Peter Okpaleke On Elevation As Cardinal

The Managing Director of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), Chief Dr. George Mogahlu, has sent his goodwill message to the Catholic Bishop of Ekwulobia Diocese, Most Rev Peter Okpaleke, as he got formally installed yesterday in a consistory as a Cardinal of the Catholic Church.
While wishing him well in his new spiritual assignment and elevation among the 20 new cardinals, the NIWA boss, Dr. Mogahlu, rejoiced with the Bishop now a Cardinal for receiving the red biretta and hat from the Supreme Pontiff, His Holiness Pope Francis, signifying sacrifice with Christ, and becoming eligible to vote in a papal conclave.
“I rejoice with you on your elevation as Cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church by the Pontiff, Pope Francis.”
“With your pedigree as a Priest, Administrator and Bishop, I have no doubt that you will make an impressive success of your new office.”
“Your background as immediate past Bishop of Ahiara Diocese, current Bishop of Ekwulobia Diocese, among others, will stand you in good stead in the new assignment.”
“I wish you great success and higher strides as a Cardinal.
