Lady Gwacham’s Candidacy: Let’s Give Our Women A Chance

Posted on September 1, 2022

Women have proven to be performing so well in any leadership position they find themselves than the men folks. Their leadership trait is innate. Despite fathers being the pillars of the family, mothers are the oxygen.

NAFDAC was established in 1993, but it came into lime light when late Prof. Dora Akunyili became the Director General.

A woman, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo Iweala, revamped Nigeria economy as the Coordinating Minister of Finance.

According to yet to be published research, female members of Nigeria National Assemblies, both past and present, performed or are performing so well more than their male counterparts.

Dame Virgy Etiaba proved her mettle as the then Governor of Anambra State.

The current Anambra State Commissioner for Education, Prof. Ngozi Chima Udeh, has brought innovations into our state educational sector within few months in office, while the only woman TC Chairman, Iyom Idemili, of Idemili South LGA, is also making waves.

In the recently concluded Commonwealth games, where Nigeria athletes made our country proud, women topped the medals table.

Down home, Lady Maureen Gwacham, the Amazon, has been touching lives and lifting souls even as a private citizen, reason APGA delegates elected her to fly the party’s flag for Oyi/ Ayamelum Federal Constituency, making her the only woman APGA candidate for House of Representatives.

We need to support her; we need to give her a chance to wider explore her worths for the benefit of our people.
