Agritech Israel Invites Osun Govt, Agritech Nigeria Team To WATEC 2017

The economy of the State of Osun has received a big boost from far away Israel, as the state and the organisers of Agritech Nigeria Osogbo 2017 have been invited to take part in the forthcoming Water Technology and Environmental Control Exhibition and Conference (WATEC Israel 2017) which holds in Tel Aviv, Israel from 12-14 September.

The WATEC 2017 is being organised by Agritech Israel with active collaboration with Israelis Ministry of Industry, Ministry of Agriculture, Israel New Tech-National Water and Energy Program, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Environmental Protection as well as Israel Export and International Cooperation Institute.

P.M.EXPRESS exclusively gathered that the General Manager of Kenes Exhibition, the organisers of Agritech Israel, Prema Zilberman, in an invitation letter sent to Agritech Nigeria Osogbo 2017 Team, which comprises of the Government of the State of Osun, Fesco Agalu, the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Federal Ministry of Health, wrote that “Israel sees this WATEC 2017 as an important event designed to promote the reputation and the capabilities of Israel Water Technology and CleanTech industries in the international marketing arena.  Israel, as an innovative source of water and environmental technologies, is the ideal venue for this important event. With limited national resources, and generations of accumulated expertise, Israel has made a virtue of necessity and today is home to a surprisingly large, and still growing, number of cutting-edge water and environmental technologies.”

Zilberman disclosed that the delegation from Osun “will join key decision-makers shaping the debates on – and crafting solutions for the major issues facing the world’s water and ecological systems, as WATEC 2017 will bring together Israeli and international business executives, political decision makers, and leading researchers, WATEC 2017 will also be a showcase for the most advanced environmental challenges that we all face.

“We are confident that the delegation will benefit from the exciting range of topics dealt with and the dynamic scope of entrepreneurial and technological solutions that will be presented at this event.”

P.M.EXPRESS reports that Agritech Nigeria Osogbo 2017 is an international agricultural exhibition and conference which the Government of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola is hosting in Osogbo. Agrictech Nigeria Osogbo 2017 is the first Nigeria’s largest Exhibition and Conference on agriculture, farm machineries, dairy, poultry, water technology, livestock equipment, agriculture processing technologies and environmental control.

The event, the first in Africa, will be attended by 700,000 people who include exhibitors (local and international), visitors (local and international) and foreign investors and others such as buyers, key decision makers, policy heads and agricultural development executives in world economy, big private sector players in agriculture, consultants, banks and financial institutions in agribusiness.

P.M.EXPRESS reliably informed that the Israeli Embassy in Nigeria has been holding talks with Agritech Nigeria Team and discussions are ongoing on how best to organize a memorable event that will stand the test of time.
