ONC Unveils 2-Day Programme To Mark 74th Birthday Of Deputy Governor, Prof. Ngozi Nma Odu

The leadership of the Orashi National Congress, ONC, has unveiled a two-day programme of activities to commemorate the 74th birthday anniversary of its Grand Patroness and Deputy Governor of Rivers State, Her Excellency Prof. Ngozi Nma Odu, DSSRS.

Her Excellency will clock 74 on 19th October, 2026.

In a statement signed by its President General, Amb. Comrade Emeni Ibe, JP, AP, the ONC said as a body that Prof. Odu graciously mothers as Grand Patroness, it cannot let the milestone pass without celebrating her life of excellence, service, humility and motherly love for Orashi people and Rivers State at large.

According to the statement, the programme of activities is as follows:

Day 1: Sunday, 18th October, 2026 – Eve Of Birthday
– Special Prayers and Intercessory Session for Her Excellency at five different locations in the State
– Media Engagements and Goodwill Messages
– Birthday Eve Symposium on “Celebrating Women in Leadership: The Ngozi Nma Odu Example”

Day 2: Monday, 19th October, 2026 – Birthday Day
– Special Thanksgiving Service and Prayers for God’s grace upon her life at five different locations and Churches
– Visitation to selected Motherless Babies Homes and Orphanage Homes in Rivers State with gift items, in honour of Her Excellency’s compassionate heart.

The ONC noted that the celebration reflects the character of its Grand Patroness who has always shown love for the less privileged.

It called on all sons and daughters of Orashi, comprising Abua/Odual, Ahoada East, Ahoada West and Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Areas, all ONC members, and well-wishers across Rivers State to join the celebration.
