Lady, 25, Docked For Pouring Hot Water On Rival During Squabble

A 25-year old lady, Halima Adamu, has been arrested in Lagos State for allegedly inflicting injury on her lady rival, Nofisat Mohammed, by pouring hot water on her during a squabble.
 
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Bolade area of Oshodi, Lagos where they reside.
The Police alleged that the ladies, Halima and Nofisat, had a disagreement over an undisclosed matter, which led to exchange of words and in the process, Halima boiled water without the knowledge of Nofisat, targeted and poured it on her body.
She suffered severe burns and was rushed to an undisclosed hospital for treatment while the matter was reported to the Police at Akinpelu Division for interrogation over her conduct.
After thorough interrogation, the Police found Halima culpable and subsequently charged her before the Ogba Magistrates Court for causing serious injury on the victim, Nofisat.
She pleaded not guilty when she was arraigned.
The prosecutor,  Inspector Dada Waisu, then asked the Court to give a date for hearing since she pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that she actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate,  Mrs. O.O. Fagbohun, granted her bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum.
She was remanded in custody at the Correctional Centre at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when she will perfect her bail conditions while the matter was adjourned for mention.
