The National Legal Adviser of All Progressives Congress (APC) Barrister Muiz Banire, SAN,  might have realized the political influence of the National leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu following the recent massive protest by his Mushin constituents asking for his removal as legal adviser and member of the party.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that hundreds of Mushin residents went to the party headquarters and also to the State House of Assembly at Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos protesting for Banire’s removal for his recent activities in the area.

P.M.EXPRESS learnt this was not unconnected with the perceived rift between Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Barrister Banire over the political disagreement and control of Mushin constituency formerly controlled by Banire.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that Banire was the political son of Tinubu before the disagreement and Tinubu had to shift the political structure to a former senator, Ganiyu O. Solomom popularly known as GOS.

It was gathered that Banire was loyal to Tinubu to the extent that Tinubu made him Commissioner in his two tenures as the Lagos State governor and later supported him to become the National Legal Adviser of the party.

However, their relationship went awry following the suspicion by Asiwaju Tinubu that he reportedly betrayed him and Tinubu transferred the Mushin party structure to Senator Solomon.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the soured relationship manifested during the local government primary elections in Mushin and the Local Council Development Areas.

Banire was said to have lost as all the candidates he presented for various positions couldn’t win, he then went to court and the election was nullified by the court who ordered for fresh elections in the Council.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered the  party agreed to conduct new primaries which also produced the same candidates for Saturday local government elections in the area.
However, Banire still insisted that the elections were not properly conducted.
This angered the residents as P.M.EXPRESS gathered and prompted them to mobilize and protest to the Lagos Seat of Power for his removal and sack from the party.

The residents during the protest asked the party to remove Banire as National Legal Adviser and sacked for anti-party activity.

However, the National leadership have not reacted to the demands of the the residents.

It was gathered that the protests have affected Banire supporters who seem to have realized that they have lost out and now want to move to Senator Solomon’s camp allegedly supported by Asiwaju Tinubu.

According to the residents, the recent developments have placed Banire in a difficult corner as he seems to have lost control of his constituency to Solomon.
When our reporter contacted both Solomon and Banire over the matter, the reporter was told that they were not around to comment.

However, some residents confirmed the incident and said it was unfortunate the ugly incident happened which has caused a serious rift between Barrister Banire and his political godfather.
