The Youth wing of Anambra State Association of Town Unions(ASATU) Umunya, has thrown their weight behind the candidacy of Lady Maureen Gwacham for Oyi/Ayamelum Federal Constituency.
The Umunya Youth Chairman, Chief Chinedu Onyemaechi, made this known when they played host to Lady Maureen Gwacham during their emergency executive meeting yesterday.
Chief Onyemaechi stated that Lady Gwacham, aside being the only woman in the race, is the most qualified person among the candidates.
He further stated that Umunya Youths, under his leadership, have resolved to support APGA, being the only Igbo identity come next year’s general election.
Barr. Ifeanyi Okuefuna, who led the delegation that represented Lady Gwacham at the meeting, thanked Umunya youths for their show of support to the Amazon and APGA at large and promised that neither Lady Gwacham nor other APGA candidates, would derail from their campaign promises.
