Ojodu LCDA Holds Bid-Opening For WASH Facilities Rehabilitation

In a bid to further improve Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) in Lagos State, WaterAid Nigeria has embarked upon the rehabilitation of ‘WASH’ facilities in public places, schools and Primary health care centers within Ojodu and Ikorodu North LCDAs, Lagos State. 

Thus, having followed the necessary procurement procedure of inviting potential bidders for scrutiny and assessment through an “Invitation to Tender” via adverts in National Dailies, all the bidders converged at Ojodu LCDA for the evaluation stage of the process.

The Chairman, Tender Board, who doubles as the Vice Chairman of Ojodu LCDA, Hon. Bunmi Oluyadi, elucidated the procurement processes in line with international best practices and assured the bidders of transparency and objectivity in the evaluation.

Afterwards, the sealed tender box was opened in the presence of the participants, and the contents (documents) were meticulously evaluated for further stages and actions.

Furthermore, the Procurement Officer Mrs. Rukayat Shijuola, who was corroborated by the Legal Officer Ojodu LCDA, Barr. Afolabi Kalejaye, added that the Biddings will be looked into for proper verification and that the Council will get back to the contractors in due time.

 

According to Bunmi Oluyadi, the companies present, which were rated based on their paperwork presentations were Showmax Construction company, Realfirst Choice, Trevour Nig Ltd, Datum Resources Dev Ltd and Rockdom Integrated Ltd.

 

This kind gesture from WaterAid Nigeria/Kimberly Clark Foundation would go a long way in achieving the H. E. Y. S Mission of Hon Odunmbaku, who prioritises the health and wellbeing of the people of Ojodu LCDA.

 

In attendance at the meeting were the Vice chairman, Hon. Bunmi Oluyadi (representing the Council Mayor), representatives of WaterAid Nigeria, Ikorodu North LCDA; Council Treasurer Mrs Adedipe, Legal Officer Barr. Kalejaye, HOD Environmental services Sanitarian Samuel Sangolana, Procurement officer Mrs Shijuola, Council Engineer Builder Ahmed, HOD Education Mrs Belo, Public Affairs officer Mrs. Falola.
