Hon Kasunmu Wins Best Performing Commttee Chairman Of The Year Award

The prestigious award was conferred on him at the Nigeria Media Nite Out Awards 2022 event in Lagos on Sunday evening 30th October, 2022.

The Nigeria Media Nite Out Award is a platform set up to identify, honour and inspire individuals or institutions adjudged to have performed creditably and have made remarkable impacts on the society in the year under review. Yesterday’s ceremony was the 16th Edition of the Award.

According to Mr. Sola Olugbemiro, the Convener of NMN Award, Hon. Adedamola Richard Kasunmu (ARK) was unanimously selected for the Best Performing Commttee Chairman of The Year category as a result of his versatility and effectiveness in resolving land related matters in the state as well as his vibrant and insightful contributions to the process of lawmaking on the floor of House.

The Baasegun of Aguda land, Dr. Banjo, presented the award plaque to Hon. Kasunmu on behalf of the organisers. During the presentation, Dr. Banjo who is also a notable leader in Hon. Kasunmu’s Constituency, commended the lawmaker for the great job he is been doing as Ikeja 2 representative in the House of Assembly.

In his response shortly after receiving the award, Hon. ARK thanked the organisers for the recognition of the activities of Lands Committee under his leadership. He also expressed special appreciation to the people of  Ikeja Constituency 2 for giving him the opportunity to represent them at the Assembly.

While thanking Mr. Speaker, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, for his support and inspiration, the lawmaker promised to do more when given the opportunity to serve in 2023. Hon. Kasunmu dedicated the award to God Almighty.

Other award recipients at occasion included the Governor of Zamafara State, His Excellency, Dr. Bello Matawalle; Ondo State Governor, His Excellency Arakunrin Akeredolu; Deputy Speaker of Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Wasiu Eshilokun-Sanni; Respected Royal Father, Oba  Agbaosi Eweobja, the Olu of Aguda land;

Media Analyst, Babajide Kolade-Otitoju of TVC; Controversial TV personality, Ahmed Rufai of Arise TV; Councillor Representing Ojodu LCDA Ward B, Hon. Kazeem Iyanda and many other notable personalities and organisations.

Veteran actor and anchorman of the event, Yemi Sodimu, as well as top media personality, Babajide Kolade-Otitoju, applauded Hon. Kasunmu for being a good and consistent representative of the people in the last couple of years.

Former Leader of Ikeja LGA Legislative Arm and current Senior Legislative Aide to the Speaker of House of Representatives, Hon. Edward Aragbonfoh and High Chief Aare Titi Borokoni also commended Hon. Kasunmu for his youthful and innovative representation since 2015.

A vibrant and ranking lawmaker noted for his cerebral and informative contributions to lawmaking process in Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Kasummu is seeking reelection as the APC candidate for Ikeja Constituency 2 in the forthcoming 2023 General Elections.
