Chief Emeka Ofoedu Collapses Structure For Ekwunife In Enugwu-Ukwu

With the February 2023 general elections fast approaching, Chief Oba (Sir) Emeka Ofoedu, a major stakeholder in Enugwu-Ukwu cum MD/CEO Transglob Aluminium Ltd. has collapsed structure to enable Senator Uche Ekwunife consolidate on her sterling performance in the National Assembly.

 

Chief Ofoedu’s applaudable decision to back Ekwunife’s “consolidation agenda” is following the numerous endorsements from illustrious sons and daughters Enugwu-Ukwu.

Amongst the decampees were Engr (Oba) Ejike Onuora (Oba Ochie) Avomimi Village Chairman, Mr Innocent Ofoedu (Omekannaya), Mr Mike Okonkwo (Anyichie Umunri), and Comrade Ifeanyi Olisakwe (Avomimi Community Youth Leader.

Welcoming the Senator’s entourage, Chief Ofoedu noted that he has watched with enthusiasm the infrastructural achievements and strong voice of Ekwunife on the floor of the senate and decided to formally declare support for her. He explained that Ekwunife has attracted developmental projects in the community more than those who are jostling to replace her in the National Assembly.

According to him, no constituent in good conscience will vote against the working senator who has taken representation to a higher level. He gave firm assurance that the people of Enugwu-Ukwu will mobilize and vote massively for the lawmaker as a show of love and acceptance.

In his remarks, the ward chairman, Oba Engr. Dan Nwike, stated that the A-grade lawmaker’s exploits from her days in the green chamber remains unbeaten and the PDP family are very proud to call her their own. He noted that the prayers of less privileged and widows who have benefited from the senate is enough to earn her re-election.

Speaking, Engr (Oba) Ejike Onuora described Ekwunife as a sellable candidate whose exemplary achievements are glaring to constituents and worth re-election. He noted that the constituency will keep leaping from the senator’s wealth of legislative experience, adding that she stands a chance to be the next senate president.

In his speech, the PDP candidate of Njikoka constituency I, Amb Chukwuemeka Nwankwo assured Ekwunife that his campaign train has embarked on a grassroots campaign to ensure that all PDP candidates win the upcoming general elections. He said that the constituency is eager to return Ekwunife to continue her good work in the 10th Assembly.

Earlier, Ekwunife thanked Chief Ofoedu and other defectors for choosing the PDP over other political parties, noting that they made the right choice. She frowned at those who are overheating the polity and urged candidates to stick at issue-based campaigns instead of divisive politics.

The Chairman Senate Committee on Science Technology and Innovation while eulogizing Senator Abana and Omehie for their continuous support in her political career urged constituents to elect a candidate with a proven capacity and goodwill to attract dividends of democracy for the development and growth of the zone.

Other stakeholders Ichie Ben Okoye (Uchumuluaku), Mr. Chidi Obiora, Bro Ebele Okechukwu, Mr. Linus Egoigwe (Coins), Oba Dozie Francis, Lolo (Mrs) Chinyere Onuora, Comrade ABC Ubani and all the PDP LG Officers.

Others were Bro Ebele Okechukwu (Ward Leader), Cath Raphael Ifemeka, Comrade Obiekii Solomon (former PDP Youth leader) and Mr. Mike Okonkwo.
