I Never Wanted To Impregnate Her – Says 75-Year Old Who R*ped Girl,13

A 75-year old man, Sunday Muoghalu, who raped, impregnated a 13-year old girl and then abandoned her in the hospital, has told the Police that he was only playing with her in order to satisfy his sexual desires and never intended to put her in the family way.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Agu Oye, Umudioka, Awka in Anambra State.
The elderly man, Pa Muoghalu, has also admitted that he was responsible for the pregnancy.
The suspect, Muoghalu was arrested on Sunday night, 11th December, 2022, by the Police with the assistance of the Anambra State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Welfare, Hon Ify Obinabo.
The matter became public knowledge and the Anambra State Government rescued the minor following a viral video, which showed her carrying her newborn baby in a hospital in the State.
She was reportedly held in the hospital over her inability to settle her medical bills after the delivery of the baby before the State Government intervened, rescued her and the baby and they are now in protective custody.
The 13-year old girl revealed that she was serially raped by Pa Muoghalu before getting her pregnant.
She also revealed that she was not the only victim because other little girls had been raped by the old man in the area while her biological parents reside in Agulu, a community in the Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra State.
According to Police sources, the young mother and her baby are currently in a safe place while the suspect will be arraigned in Court for prosecution over the alleged defilement, which attracts several years of imprisonment if he is tried and found guilty before the Court. But that will be after the conclusion of investigation by the Police.
