Man, 44, Docked Over Marathon S*x With 12-Year Old Girl For 20 Months

Police operatives from the Ipaja Division have arrested a 44-year old man, Daniel Ifeagwu, for allegedly engaging his neighbour’s 12-year old girl in marathon sex for the past 20 months in Lagos State. 
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Ajiboye Street, Ile Epo area of Lagos State, where they reside.
The suspect, Ifeagwu has been charged for defilement, which attracts several years of imprisonment or life imprisonment if he is found guilty before the Court.
The Police alleged that the suspect had between April 2021 to 2nd December, 2022, had lured the girl severally to his apartment, engaged her in sex romp without her consent and warned her not to tell anyone.
The alleged dastardly act got exposed after the girl revealed what had been happening to her parents, who then reported to the Ipaja Police Station. The suspect,  Ifeagwu, was arrested and detained for interrogation over his conduct.
During interrogation, he reportedly admitted to have done so but with the girl’s consent, who is a minor under the Law.
The Police found him culpable and subsequently charged him before the Ogba Magistrates Court for the alleged offence.
When he was arraigned, the Court did not take his plea following a motion moved by the prosecutor, DSP Kehinde Ajayi, asking the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for advice.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. E. Kubenije, ordered his remand in custody without an option of bail pending the outcome of the DPP”s advice.
The matter was adjourned till 17th January, 2023, for the report of the DPP to be available, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
