Adazi Day 2023: Senator Umeh Felicitates With Adazi Towns On Feast Day

The Labour Party Senatorial Candidate for Anambra Central, Senator Dr Victor Umeh OFR (Ohamadike Ndigbo), on January 7th felicitated with the people of Adazi-Enu, Adazi-Ani and Adazi-Nnukwu on the occasion of the 2023 Adazi Day Celebration held at Divine Mercy College Field, Adazi-Enu.

Senator Victor Umeh accompanied by his amiable wife, Lady Prisca Umeh (Osodieme), felicitated with the three-sister communities particularly the custodian of the Okotu Clan and traditional ruler of Adazi-Enu, HRH Igwe Alphonsus Okpalaechelu (Obi Okotu) and the Regent/Prime Minister of Adazi-Nnukwu (Odu), Chief Kanu Ugwumba. He commended the efforts of the organizers of the annual Event, the United Adazi Association led by Chief (Engr) Sir Cyril Anetoh who doubles as the President General of Adazi-Nnukwu Town Development Union (ATDU) and encouraged them to sustain the propitious Event as that will continue to consolidate the unity and strength of the trio-towns, with significant economic and political gains.

The Senator, who holds the prestigious chieftaincy title of Nwannedinamba Adazi-Nnukwu and Dike Eji’ejemba na Igwurube Okotu, further charged the people to endeavour to take advantage of the present distribution of permanent voters card (PVC) at the various Wards to equip themselves with their PVCs in order to vote on February 25 only for competent and reliable candidates.

He maintained that the Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, is the most qualified and sought-after by people in all parts of Nigeria for a visionary leadership that will redirect the Country to a path of progress. Ohamadike also urged them to vote for himself in the Anambra Central Senatorial Election alongside other Labour Party Candidates who will rally round Mr Peter Obi giving him the necessary supports from the National Assembly.

On his part, the Chairman of United Adazi Association, Engr. Cyril Anetoh, extolled Senator Umeh’s unpoliticized friendship and supports for the Adazi Communities stressing that ndị Adazi are aware of his outstanding performance in the 17 months he served in the 8th Senate especially for his vocal and courageous representation of the Igbo people and for the numerous projects he attracted and implemented very transparently; job opportunities for graduates, scholarships for students and empowerment programs for Youth and Women.

Engr. Anetoh assured him that Adazi people are in solidarity with other Nigerians in demand for a better governance through HE Mr Peter Obi and will vote massively for the Labour Party at the coming General Election.
