You’re A Gift To Anambra Central’ – Ojoto Monarch Tells Ekwunife

The Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District and People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Senatorial Candidate for the zone, Uche Ekwunife, PhD and her entourage stormed Ojoto in continuation of her Ward/Community tour ahead of February 25th general elections.
The Senator started the Ojoto visit with a courtesy call to the traditional ruler of Ojoto, Igwe Gerald Mbamalu, to officially inform the Monarch and his cabinet of her campaign activities in the community.
Welcoming the Senator and her entourage, the traditional prime minister (Onowu) of Ojoto, Chief Patrick Onwuanyali thanked the Senator for the visit and noted that Ekwunife is a Lawmaker who has provided effective representation to the zone, assuring the Senator the royal support and the support of the good people of Ojoto.

The traditional ruler of Ojoto, Igwe Gerald Mbamalu (Ohanyelu) thanked Ekwunife for her diligence in service, added that Ekwunife works so hard for the people of the zone and her achievements are visible and the good people of Ojoto will reward her good services. He offered royal blessings to the Distinguished Senator and prayed that God will see her to victory.
The Ojoto Women Forum led by, Mrs. Abigail Nwafor, added that Ekwunife has performed exceptional well as a Senator. She further stated that the Senator is the first woman to represent the zone as a Senator and has performed more than every other Senators the zone has produced. While urging other women to support their fellow woman, she appealed that every woman should vote Ekwunife to return to the Senate.

Addressing the Cabinet, Ekwunife lauded the Monarch for his transformative leadership in Ojoto and thanked the community for their unflinching support in the previous elections.
The Federal Lawmaker expressed that amongst all the candidates contesting to represent the zone, she is the most effective and committed to develop the zone. Ekwunife further stated that in 2015 when she was elected to the red chambers, she was made Chairman Senate Committee on Petroleum (downstream) and within the 6 months at the red chambers, she worked closely with the former Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano and made Anambra State an oil producing state before her removal from through the Court.
The Capacity Senator added that though she hasn’t attracted road project in every community due to Federal Government considerations for projects, she has done so much in every community and it is better for a community to support a performing Lawmaker than those who do not have a track record of performance.
While appealing to the community to support her, Ekwunife listed some of her projects in Ojoto starting with the supply of books and school materials at Community Primary and Secondary schools, supply of a tricycle, Installation of Solar Street lights, construction of Borehole and overhead tank, free medical outreach to Ojoto uno and Ojoto Ezema Hall and facilitation of Federal Government grants and Jobs to the people of Ojoto amongst others.

The Chairman Senate Committee on Science, Technology and Innovation urged the community to support her consolidate on her good services which she has started and as well attract more development to Anambra Central Senatorial District.
The Member representing Idemili North and South Federal Constituency, Obinna Chidoka, PDP State Assembly Candidate for Idemili South Constituency, Dr. Aghasiefo Ekene Augustine and Former Speaker Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emeka Anyanaeto were part of the dignitaries present at the event.
