Posted on January 31, 2023
As Senator Solomon Adeola, the chairman of Senate Committee of Finance and APC Senatorial candidate concludes his ward to ward campaign tour in Yewa North LGA the senatorial district, all royal fathers of the LGA have endorsed and pray for him to be governor of Ogun State after representing them as senator from 2023.
The Adokun of Igan Okoto, Oba Mukaila Akanbi Salako, who was mandated to pray for the success of the Senator after other Obas numbering over 10 including the Alaye of Ayetoro Oba Abdullaziz Adelakun, had eulogized the Senator for his unparallel large-heartedness at the Palace of Alaye of Ayetoro, said he has already won the election to be Ogun West senator based on his antecedents of service and development initiatives that dates back to over 10 years in the district.
“We are not in doubt of your ability to win the election for the Senate for Ogun West. That is a foregone conclusion on February 25. What we wish and pray for is that you will be governor of Ogun State after that based on your record of service and community development. I recalled your sponsorship of Yewa Obas to UK and USA years back and the way you extend regular goodwill gestures to us at least 4 times per year and we know you will make a good governor for the state after serving as Ogun West Senator” he stated with the concurrence of other Obas who gathered around the senator in traditional prayer.
Before the joint prayer, the Abepa of Joga Orile, Oba Adeyemi Adekeye, commended Senator Adeola for doing much for the district even before he become the senator in the area of needed infrastructure and empowerment of youth and women adding that for them the major thing is for him to continue to fulfil his promises as he has been doing in the past.
Also speaking the Eselu of Iselu, Oba Akintunde Akinyemi, called on Senator Adeola to establish as a matter of urgency, a Political Academy for some of the district politicians and youth to learn from him how politics is played in the interest of the people stressing that politics should be about service to the people including royalty which Senator Adeola has done excellently well.
Speaking earlier, Senator Adeola said as a prospective representative of the district in the Senate, he is touring the wards to know the different challenges facing the people adding that the enormity of the challenges led him to start proffering solutions that will come even before the February 25 election in form of about 25 electric transformers, moving in graders to grade roads as well as various donations for completion of many projects including Police Stations to the tune of several millions.
“Before the election, I promised to empower 5000 market men and women in Ogun West with financial grants, train and empower 4000 youths in various skills including ICT as well as train and empower with N100,000 each 250 physically challenged persons from the district” he stated to the applause of all.
The Senator, who pleaded for votes for all APC candidates in the forthcoming election, later held a meeting with stakeholders comprising of interest groups, trade union, CDCs and CDAs at the dilapidated OGD Hall, which he promised to renovate beginning from next week.
