Oyo Introduces Ambulance Services During Elections

Oyo State Government has deployed emergency lines to address unforeseen health circumstances in the state, during the election period.
This was indicated in a statement signed by the Commissioner for Information, Culture and Toursim, Dr. Wasiu Olatubosun, on Friday.
The statement quoted the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health, Dr. M. Lawal, saying the Oyo State Government, places premium on the health of residents in the State.
He said ambulances have been placed at strategic points in the State in case of any health issue.
“It is pertinent to emphasis that the ambulances are available during the election to help patients to hospitals where they will be treated and managed”, the statement read.
“The Emergency Operation Centre, Yemetu under the auspices of Ministry of Health is in charge of this service”, the statement read further.
Olatubosun said the emergency services extends to various communities within the State, across the three senatorial districts.
“The emergency lines to call are 07049948057 and 08147672009 during the election period”.
Olatubosun added that the service will be fully operational from Saturday 25 February 2023.
