Armed Robber Docked For Raping Lady, 30, With Toy Gun During Operation

A 24-year old suspected armed robber, Onyeka Okafor, has landed in trouble after he went for a robbery operation with his gang members and forcefully engaged a 30-year old lady in sex romp armed with a toy gun in Lagos State. 
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Bashiru Shittu Street, Magodo Phase 2 area of Lagos.

He has been arrested and charged before the Court for conspiracy, armed robbery and rape.
According to the Police, the suspect,  Okafor, who resides at Redemption Street, Ijegemo in the outskirts of Lagos, went for the robbery operation and they had robbed victims of several mobile phones and valuables worth over N45m belonging to one Henry Ajayi.
During the operation, when Okafor saw the lady, he pointed the revolver toy gun at her and forced her to remove her pants before he forcefully engaged her in sex.
Having satisfied himself, he escaped with other members of his gang with their loot. The matter was reported to the Police, who then trailed Okafor and eventually arrested him at Ajah Phone Market with one of the stolen phones and was also identified by the victim he had raped during the operation.
After interrogation, the Police found him culpable and subsequently charged him before the Ogba Magistrates Court for the alleged offence.
The Court did not take his plea when he was arraigned following a motion moved by the prosecutor, DSP Kehinde Ajayi, asking the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for advice.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. K. Kubeinje, ordered his remand in custody pending the outcome of the DPP’s advice and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP.
The matter was adjourned till 28th March, 2023, for the report of the DPP to be available, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
