Nilayo Boss Applauds Lagos’ Game Changer, Sanwo-Olu

Posted on March 21, 2023

The Managing Director of Nilayo Sports Management Limited, Chief Bukola Olopade, has expressed delight on the victory recorded by the Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, in the March 18 Gubernatorial elections. A victory that assured his second term tenure as the number one citizen of the state.

Olopade, commended the governor for his resilience, brilliance and expertise employed going into the March 18 polls.

“The run down to the March 18 gubernatorial elections was so tensed and filled with so much uncertainties, such that within one week of hard work and aggressive campaign strategies, the odds changed.

“Sanwo-olu’s strong ability as a game changer turned the table to his favour with just a number of days to the Match 18 election. And this came to play on election day as the governor-Elect won the elections by almost 500,000 votes margin with a total votes of 736,000 compared to just 292,000 for his closest rival, the Labour Party’s Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, according to the Independent National Electoral Commission.”

The former Ogun State Commissioner for Youths and Sports Development, stated that: “From all indications, the second coming of Sanwo-olu will boost the fortunes of sports in Lagos. This will also help in the further development of the various sports which the state government had over the years given priority attention in terms of participation and sponsorship.

“We are sure that, Lagos under Sanwo-olu will continue to grow in leap and bounds in the hosting and sponsorship of world class international sports events which have greatly lifted the profile of the city of Lagos over the years, as a worthy international destination for sports,” Bukola Olopade said in Lagos.
