Police Parade Suspected Cult Leader, Ogbara & 40 Others In Ogun State

Police operatives of the Ogun State Command have paraded a 46-year old suspected notorious leader of Aiye Confraternity, Owolabi Ayanbadejo, popularly known as Ogbara, over his alleged criminal activities in the State.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the suspect, Ogbara, was arrested with some of his cult members by the Police after their failed operation to forcefully take over a garage in Atan, Ijebu area of the State, with different weapons including guns and hard drugs.
While addressing journalists at the Command Headquarters in Abeokuta yesterday, the Commissioner of Police, CP Olanrewaju Oladimeji, who paraded Ogbara and about 40 criminal suspects arrested across the State for committing various crimes, disclosed that he belonged to Aiye Confraternity and had been operating within Atan Ijebu area of the State terrorizing the people.

Ogbara was however, arrested following intelligence gathering and the Police moved into action, arrested him and other members of his cult in a market place and recovered their operational weapons in the process.
“In Atan-Ijebu, four suspects identified as Onasanya Opeoluwa, Friday Daniel, Otuneye Samuel and Ayanbade Owolabi a.k.a Ogbara, were arrested for their involvement in cultism.”
“The Police recovered a locally-made double-barrel gun, a locally-made short gun, an axe, a dagger, a jack knife and substances suspected to be Indian hemp as exhibits.”
CP Oladimeji stated that Ogbara was in Police custody with other suspects undergoing interrogation over his alleged criminal activities in the State and will be charged before Court after the conclusion of investigations by the Police.

He also stated other suspects, who were apprehended both within and outside the state for involvement in cultism, murder and armed robbery, were also in Police custody and will be charged before Court after the conclusion of investigations by the Police.
