The Aremo of Yewaland & Chairman, Senate Committee of Appropriations, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (YAYI) CON, FCA, FCTI, FFPI, has eulogised His Royal Majesty, Oba Michael Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo CFR, Okukenu IV, the Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, on the occasion of his 80th birthday celebration.
In a birthday tribute to the respected monarch, Senator Solomon Adeola said,
“Your Royal Majesty,
I have the utmost pleasure and joy in extending warm greetings to you, our famous and very upright royal father in Ogun State”.
“My joy knows no bound in being able to witness and felicitate you as you graciously join the esteemed class of octogenarians as you clock the age of 80 years in good health and wellbeing. There is no doubt that you are one of the most revered and respected traditional rulers in Yorubaland and indeed in Nigeria.”
“Your Royal Majesty, I want to acknowledge your great and patriotic contributions to the development of Nigeria through your service to the fatherland as a military officer that served at the highest level of the service. It is on record that you discharged your duties creditably in the military and government without blemish at a trying time of our nation’s history. No wonder you were graciously granted the national honour of the Commander of the Federal Republic, CFR.”
“With your ascension to the throne of your forefathers in August 2005, your reign as an educated and modernizing monarch has brought not only a peaceful reign in Egbaland but momentous socio-economic and cultural development of our people. As a bona fide maternal son of Egbaland watching ongoing development under your almost two decades reign over your subjects from all sections of Egbaland, I can attest to your sanguine disposition, fairness and uprightness on all issues of development, not only in your terrain but in matters relating to Ogun State and Nigeria development. You are indeed a model to emulate by subjects and other royal fathers aspiring to your octogenarian status.”
“As you continue your ordained reign in Egbaland, I pray for your good health, divine wisdom and many more years and decades on the throne of your forefathers.”
“Happy 80th Birthday, Your Royal Majesty.
Ki ade pe lori, Ki bata pe lese, Ki eshin Oba o je ko pe oo.
Kabiyesi ooo!” Senator Adeola concluded.
