The latest development means the sports betting window for customers has been expanded, allowing for mega winnings.

He cleared up possible misunderstandings about the authenticity of the listed companies by stating that they had been duly approved by the National Lottery Regulatory Commission.

The Commission says this clarification is necessary in light of the previous position of the Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority (LSLGA).

The Lagos State lotteries authority was saying that the companies are illegal.

Gbajabiamila claimed the opposite, saying they were genuine because they were duly licensed to operate lottery and sports betting businesses in Nigeria.

“It is therefore imperative that the NLRC, as the statutory authority to regulate lotteries and gambling in Nigeria, make a statement.

“Therefore, the following gaming operators listed as “unlicensed and illegal” in the LSLGA publication are duly authorized to conduct lottery and sports betting activities in Nigeria.”

“The NLRC deeply regrets any misunderstanding this unfortunate publication may have caused among domestic gaming licensors operating in Nigeria under the law,” it added.

In the interests of the gambling public, he presented a long list of gambling operators in the country.

This, according to him, can be found at https://nlrc-gov.ng/list-of-approved-gaming-operators, the official website of the NLRC.
