Following the inauguration of Anambra State Anti-Touting Squad (SASA) at Onitsha by Governor Chukwuma Soludo, the squad has swung into action and  arrested 64 suspected touts and a  chance suspected robber in various parts of Onitsha
Parading the suspects, the SASA Director of Operations, Mr. Solomon Onwuemene, said that the squad commenced operations immediately after their inauguration by Governor Soludo.
Mr. Onwuemene said that the suspects were arrested at Upper Iweka, Bridge Head and Chisco Motor Park respectively.
He made it clear that the squad will make Onitsha and other cities in the state uncomfortable for touts and those who engage in criminal activities in Anambra state.
According to the SASA Director of Operations, they are determined to rid the state of all forms of social vices and advised those who derive pleasure in touting to make themselves productive by keying into Governor Soludo’s youthful policies and programmes.
Mr. Onwuemene revealed that all those arrested would be tried according to the law to serve as deterrent to others.
