Polio Rescue Association Stages Parasoccer Event To Sensitise Nigerians

The Lagos State Sports Commission is collaborating with the Polio Rescue Association to organise the first Polio Rescue Para Soccer Competition.

The one day event will hold on Saturday, 21st October, 2017 at the Indoor Sports Hall of the Mobolaji Johnson Sports Centre, Rowe Park, Yaba from 10.00 a.m – 4.00p.m.

According to the Co- ordinator of the Association, Olugbenga Kuye, the event will serve as a form of advocacy and enlightenment of the society on the benefits of Polio Vaccination using Para Soccer as a sport to generate an awareness of sporting events amongst people living with disabilities.

Kuye also stated that the Association also wanted to key into the vision of the State Governor, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode, in using sports as a tool of engagement for the youth in order to make them shun social vices.
