Permanent Secretary Honoured For Exemplary Leadership

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Establishments and Training, Mrs. Olubusola Abidakun, has been recognised and honoured for her exemplary leadership by the Executives of Teachers’ Connect Crew, a capacity-building platform created by the Lagos State Teachers Service Commission (TESCOM) for the training and empowerment of teachers in the State’s Public and Private Schools.

Receiving the award from the Chairman of the group during a courtesy visit to the Ministry recently, Mrs. Abidakun expressed her appreciation to the Crew for recognising her little contribution to the education sector. She stated that she is very happy that TESCOM not only changed for the better during her tenure but achieved several milestones.

While noting that the recognition means a lot to her, the recently deployed Permanent Secretary to the Ministry described Teachers’ Connect as a fantastic project, praising the Executive members of Teachers Connect for doing excellently well.

Mrs. Abidakun also extolled the virtues of the teaching profession declaring that teaching is the noblest profession and contributes a lot to the development, success and achievements of everyone in society.

While presenting the letter of recognition to the Permanent Secretary, the Chairman of Crew Connect, Mr. Kunle Olabiwonu, appreciated the support of Mrs. Abidakun to the group since it was founded, just as he thanked her for the laudable achievements under her leadership at the Teaching Service Commission.
