The National President, Southern Youth Foundation of Nigeria and President General of Orashi National Congress, Most Snr. Comrade Emeni Ibe, has congratulated the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party and and Executive Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, as the Court of Appeal sitting in Lagos affirmed his victory while dismissing the petition filed by APC’s Tonye Cole.
In a statement on Tuesday afternoon, Comrade Emeni Ibe commended the  Court Of Appeal for dismissing Tonye Cole’s petition and affirming Fubara as the duly elected Rivers State Governor.
The ONC President General said, “The verdict of the Appeal Court sitting in Lagos State was right as the Rivers State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal had previously dismissed Tonye Cole’s petition stating that the APC had withdrawn their challenge against Fubara’s victory”.
“This is a welcome development and testament of the mandate widely and freely given by Rivers People. The mandate is assured! On behalf of the leadership of the Southern Youth Foundation of Nigeria and the Orashi National Congress, I hereby congratulate His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, and Executive Governor of Rivers State and the Deputy Governor for the victory at the Court Of Appeal.”
“We once again restate our total confidence and support for Sir Siminalayi Fubara. Congratulations Your Excellency!”
