There is a new twist over the clampdown on some Ndieze in Lagos State for alleged cyber crime by lying and blackmailing Ezendigbo, FESTAC town,  Eze Prosper Chukwuebuka Chukwuka.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the Police high authority at the Force headquarters in Abuja, the Federal capital territory, has ordered for the prosecution of Ndieze and others linked to the malicious publication against Eze Chukwuka, popularly known as Ogbuagu.
Top among those said to be facing criminal charges included Barrister Fabian Onwuhalu, Chief Sunday Ossai, Eze Uche Dimgba, Eze Chris Offia, Eze Remi Anyamele,  Eze Sunday Ojukwu,  Eze  Emmanuel Chukwuakalikamadu,  Eze Peter Umeh,  Eze Sunday Nwoye, Chief Ikechukwu Ochiagha, one Biafra and among others.
Already, two of the Ndieze, Eze Offia and Eze Dimgba have secretly moved out of Lagos following the latest information that the Police were hunting for them.
Eze Remi Anyamele was said to have gone into hiding after he boldly claimed that Eze Chukwuka was in handcuffs and was remanded in custody and asked members of the press during interview at Surulere, Lagos,to quote him while the statement turned out to be false because Eze Chukwuka was in his house.
It was gathered that the Police investigation found them culpable for lying against Eze Chukwuka and were liable for prosecution for their alleged conduct.
The suspects landed in trouble after a photoshop of Eze Chukwuka being handcuffed was circulated on the social media and some defamatory statements made by Barrister Fabian Onwuhalu in a WhatsApp group including the press conference organised by the Eze Udo led by Chris Offia and Uche Dimgba.
During investigation, the purported photoshop turned out to be false as Eze Chukwuka was never handcuffed and the Police found the suspects culpable for the alleged malicious damage of the reputation of Eze Chukwuka.
The suspects may likely face several years of imprisonment if they are tried and found guilty before the Court for the alleged offence under the Criminal law of the State.
Speaking on the matter, Eze Chukwuka expressed shock and surprise that those concerned would go on the social media to malign his name and reputation. He insisted that he was not convicted for any criminal matter in any Court in Nigeria.
On his installation as Ezendigbo of FESTAC town, he said he met all the conditions stated by the constitution of Igbo Speaking Community before he was crowned Ezendigbo.
He revealed that he went as far as going to his home town in Awka to get letter of recognition and commendation from their traditional ruler before he was crowned the King.
