The Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on the eve of 31st December 2023 led the countdown to the new year at Sol Beach, Oniru, location of the just concluded Lagos Countdown #GraterLagosFiesta, to create a memorable start to 2024.

The countdown to the new year, according to the Governor, was observed simultaneously, at four other locations of the Greater Lagos Fiesta in Ikorodu, Badagry, Epe, and Agege, spreading the festive spirit across the city through some top government officials who represented the Governor at the new year countdown.

Expressing his gratitude to residents of Lagos State at the event, Governor Sanwo-Olu thanked the people of Lagos for their unwavering support throughout 2023 and promised to continue improving the lives of the citizens in the coming year.

The Governor maintained that the event, which aimed to promote culture and entertainment, was a resounding success as there were no reports of security breaches in all the locations where the three-day event took place.
