Senator Uche Ekwunife, CON; A Continuous Achiever
The achievements keep rolling in. “This woman no de tire”; a bewildered Pastor Nkemdilim Okafor asked rhetorically recently, after witnessing several gigantic projects Sen Uche Ekwunife is still delivering across Anambra State.
In her home place at Nri, the people will never seize to marvel at her magical accomplishments. From the Town Civic Center to a modern market, to the churches, both Anglican and Catholic denominations, to road construction, the works look amazing.
In her birthplace, Igboukwu, the story is the same. A brand new Health Center, fully furnished built inside St Barnabas Anglican Chirch is awaiting commissioning. The pupils at St. Michael’s Catholic Primary School, (Ngo Primary School) are offering prayers daily because their dilapidated school was completely reroofed and refurbished by Sen. Uche Ekwunife. In addition, Emmanuel Ogudebe Road is wearing a new look.
At Timber Shed, Awka the road have been constructed which now eases delivery of their goods. In Awka metropolis, several roads reconstructed for the use of the inhabitants. So did it happen in Abatete and across Anambra Central Senatorial District. At another Catholic school, a new podium was constructed. All these in addition to 34 Bungalows being occupied by the widows, the poor that Iyom built across the state.
Or do we talk of more than 700 families whose children have been provided federal government employment in various Ministries, Agencies, institutions, the Central Bank, and in other places.
*NOW LOOK AT THIS*
When one thinks that he or she has seen the best from the Distinguished Senator who represented the good people of Anambra Central Senatorial District, Sen Uche Ekwunife, CON, you many not know that the books are still unfolding.
There are always good perspectives to all her outings. Each of Iyom’s outing is always a testament of accomplishments.
One might ask; after 16 years of impactiful representation with such huge strides, accomplishments, and results, what does Iyom want to do again? For sure, one is right to ask such questions. But what happened, and what will still happen, reminded me of the saying that *it’s not really over, till it’s over*! What is happening is a classical occasion to reflect on the *GIANT STEPS* of a woman, an Amazon, a Madam Project, a political leader who has excelled, almost beyond comprehension.
From wherever perspective one looks at Sen Uche Ekwunife’s giant strides, you will marvel at her scorecard, which she succinctly presents with such articulation, brilliance, candour and level headedness, but with humility on every occasion or event. Sen Uche Ekwunife is just at her best, anyway. Nobody expected anything less from *SHE, WHO CAME, WHO SAW, WHO CONQUERED.* Iyom’s performance was just beyond comprehension.
Every speaker or writer who appraises Sen Uche Ekwunife’s accomplishments always wanted to outdo each other. There are always plenty things to reflect on.
To Sen Uche Ekwunife, her sun is yet to set. It’s still the morning of her politics. As she alwsys say, *”I am still too young to quit politics”*! No wonder many traditional rulers, stakeholders, youths, women and ndi Anambra always keep Sen Uche Ekwunife in their prayers because the best is yet to come. Many don’t doubt that the best is yet to come.
The steps Iyom has taken and her successes in life are built on the foundation of THE ALMIGHTY who took her from her mother’s womb and made her a champion that she has become. She is one political leader that millions always wish well. Her steps are deliberate, always filled with wisdom. The people wish her well, always.
