P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Atanda Street, Shogunle area of Oshodi, Lagos where Pastor Ojo organized the crusade.
Aside being attacked and stoned, some angry residents rained fist blows on him and chased away those who attended the crusade. In the process, the speakers he hired from DJ Planter were stolen, which has become a liability for him to settle.
The crusade ended abruptly and he went to the Police at Shogunle Division and reported the ugly incident. Two of the suspects, Abdulrahman Adepoju, 42 and Jamiu Ishola, 47, were later arrested and detained at the station for interrogation over the alleged conduct.
After rounds of interrogation, the Police found them culpable and consequently charged them before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged assault and stealing, which attracts several years of imprisonment.
However, they pleaded not guilty when they were arraigned.
The prosecutor, Supol Akeem Raji, then asked the Court to give a date for hearing since they pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that they actually committed the alleged offence.
