The women wing of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Presidential Campaign Council, PCC, in Kano State, has commenced community-to-community grassroots mobilisation in support of the 2027 re-election bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima.

The nationwide initiative is being led by the Director of Women Mobilisation of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Dr. Betta Edu, with Hajiya Maimuna Bello and Hon. Tsakuwa representing her in parts of Kano State.

Hajiya Bello announced the commencement of the exercise during a community-to-community mobilisation programme in the state, while Hon. Tsakuwa gathered women in their hundreds at Minjibir Local Government Area to sensitize them on how to fast-track the door-to-door mobilisation drive.

The movement is aimed at strengthening grassroots structures, expanding community engagement and advancing the directorate’s target of securing 40 million votes from female supporters nationwide ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Speaking during the exercise, Bello commended the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for her vision and the implementation of programmes designed to improve welfare, promote economic empowerment and create greater opportunities for women.

She also congratulated Dr. Edu on her appointment, expressing confidence that her leadership would strengthen coordination and extend the reach of the directorate’s mobilisation activities across the country.

Bello called on female leaders, support groups and community stakeholders across Kano State’s 44 Local Government Areas to sustain grassroots engagement and participate actively in the directorate’s activities.

She reaffirmed her commitment to working with local structures across the state to advance the directorate’s mobilisation efforts in support of the Tinubu-Shettima re-election campaign.
