Married Man, 48, Remanded In Custody For S*xually Molesting 2 Minors

A 48-year old married man, Monday Umeh, has landed in trouble in Lagos State for allegedly sexually molesting two under aged girls, aged 8 and 3 years by penetrating their private parts in order to satisfy his sexual desires.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the suspect, Umeh, has been arrested and charged before the Court for statutory rape.
The incident happened at Ajoke Street, Ago Okota area of Lagos, where they reside.
According to the Police, the suspect lured the victim severally and abused them by using his finger to penetrate their private part before he was eventually exposed by the victims.
While he was alleged to have inserted his finger into the private part of the younger victim, he used his dick on the elder victim before he was caught.
The matter was reported to the Police at Ago Okota Division. Police operatives arrested and transferred him to the Gender Section of the State Police Command for interrogation over his alleged conduct.
After nterrogation, the Police found him culpable and charged him before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence.
The Court did not take his plea following a motion moved by the prosecutor,  DSP Kehinde Ajayi, asking the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for legal advice.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. E. Kubenije, ordered his remand in custody correctional centre at Kirikiri town, Lagos Lagos, pending the outcome of the DPP’s advice and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to DPP for legal advice.
The matter was adjourned for mention while the defendant was remanded in the correctional centre at Kirikiri town, pending when the DPP’s report will be ready, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction..
