Ambode, NFF, Others To Unveil Asisat Oshoala Foundation In Lagos

Nigerian international, Asisat Oshoala is making history in Lagos on Friday, 17 November, as dignitaries from all walks of life converge at the Agege Stadium to unveil and launch her project designed to pay back to the society that made the female football star.
The event is the official unveiling and launching of Asisat Oshoala Foundation, which will see the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr Akinwumi Ambode in attendance.
PM EXPRESS reports that the Governor will grace the occasion in company of his wife, Bolanle with other top officials of the government especially in the Lagos State Sports Commission headed by the Special Adviser on Sports to the Governor, Mr Deji Tinubu.
Other personalities expecting for the launching are the President of Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, Amaju Melvin Pinnick, members of the Executive Committee of the football governing body, CEO of Emzor Pharmaceutical Company, Lagos, Mrs Stella Okoli, former Nigerian goalkeepers, Peter Rufai and Dosu Joseph and a host of others.
The official launch of Asisat Oshoala Foundation is part of the week-long activities for the Lagos State/Asisat Oshoala Foundation Secondary Schools Girls Football Clinic put together by Oshoala herself in collaboration with Lagos State Government and some private sponsors such as Emzor Pharmaceutical, NFF, Lagos State Football Association, SuperSport, Big Church Foundation, Akin Alabi Foundation and Agege Local Government.

According to the programme of activities made available to PM EXPRESS on Thursday, on Monday, 13 November, there is Meet and Greet Seesion with Asisat where students will take autograph with her and the CAF Woman Player of the Year award on display at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Surulere.
On Tuesday, there will be training session in Epe at the end of the day, the best players will be chosen and certificates giving to them.
On Wednesday, the train moves to Teslim Stadium where another round of training session will hold, best players selected and certificates awarded.
On Thursday, there will be training at the Campos Mini Stadium on Lagos Island, visit to less privileged homes and a general hospital where drugs provided by Emzor Pharmaceutical will be distributed.
The grand finale on Friday will see exhibition matches to be played between Team Ambode and Team Asisat on one hand and Selected Girls from the Clinic and Nigerian women league club, FC Robo on the other hand. There will be awards presentation, trophies and special recognition of special guests before the official launch of Asisat Oshoala Foundation.
PM EXPRESS gathered that Monday, reigning African women footballer of the year to train 5000 girls in Epe on Monday, while Governor Ambode has endorsed Asisat Oshoala’s girl child education and football project.
