Ojodu LCDA Hosts Local Government Service Commission Officials

Ojodu LCDA, Lagos State, has successfully hosted the Local Government Service Commission (LGSC).
This prestigious event, which held at the Council Secretariat, marked a significant milestone in the council and commission’s ongoing efforts to enhance local governance and public service delivery.

In his opening remarks, the Executive Chairman of Ojodu LCDA, Hon. David Olusegun Odunmbaku, welcomed the dignitaries and emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts in achieving administrative excellence.
“Our mission is to create an enabling environment where our staff can thrive. By working closely with the Local Government Service Commission, we are committed to implementing policies that enhance service delivery and promote transparency,” Hon. Odunmbaku said.

The Chairman of the Local Government Service Commission, Alhaji Kamal Baiyewu, commended Ojodu LCDA for its proactive approach and dedication to improving local governance. He highlighted the commission’s role in providing oversight and support to Local Councils, ensuring they operate efficiently and meet the needs of their constituents.

During the event, various presentations and discussions were held, focusing on topics such as capacity building, resource management, and service delivery. The Council also siezed the moment to celebrate the LGSC Chairman’s (Hon. Bayewu) birthday with cake-cutting and fanfare.

The Council Manager, Engr. Bunmi Akitoye, expressed her gratitude to the Local Government Service Commission for the visit and said the Council remains committed to fostering a culture of excellence in public service and looks forward to continued collaboration with the commission and other stakeholders to drive progress and prosperity in Ojodu LCDA.

Also present were, the Vice Chairman, Ojodu LCDA Hon. Bunmi Oluyadi, SLG Hon. Olaide Bello, Leader of the House Hon. Opeyemi Apatira as well as other Executive and Legislative members.
