Eid-el-Kabir: Power Minister Enjoins Nigerians To Imbibe Spirit of Sacrifice
Minister of Power,Chief Adebayo Adelabu has enjoined Nigerians to imbibe the spirit of sacrifice as moslems worldwide celebrate the Eid El Kabir.
The Minister’s message was contained in a statement signed by his Special Adviser, Strategic Communication and Media Relations, Bolaji Tunji.
The Minister who congratulated Islamic faithful in the country also enjoined them to continue to pray for peace in the country and the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“The President is desirous of taking the country to the promise land, he has good plans for the country as captured in the Renewed Hope Agenda and we should cooperate with the administration to take us to that promise land. He has set the nation on the path of growth and development in the past one year of his administration”, he said.
“Eid-Al-Kabir is a sacred moment to reflect on the blessings, love and sacrifices of Allah upon humanity. A period to renew our faith with the solemn trust that Allah has accepted our Ibadah.
“I want to extend my heartfelt greetings to all Muslim Ummah on the joyous celebration of this year’s Eid-Al-Kabir
“May this celebration mark a new reign of unending blessings and prosperity unto our land. May we begin to experience divine intervention in all spheres of every citizenry and governance as a whole.
Adelabu also urged all Muslims to use the Eid celebration to reflect on the past and pray for the growth of the country towards a steady development and consequently enjoy the dividends of democracy
“It is also important that we reflect on spiritual benefits of this festive celebration and translate into our personal lives and relationship with our fellow citizens which collectively can help to improve our individual and collective lifestyle.
“We should also use this Eid celebration to reflect and pray for our country to grow and continue in its steady development in all ramifications in order for us all to begin to reap the dividends of democracy as a nation,”.
