Held in the conference room of the Ministry of Youth, Hon. Ogunlende was flanked by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, management staff, and esteemed partners as he unveiled this program, which aims to empower participants aged 18 to 35 with cutting-edge virtual training over a minimum period of three months.

The LAG-UP initiative, launched in collaboration with Wema Bank PLC and GFA Technologies, offers participants the chance to earn certifications from prestigious partners such as Google, Microsoft, Meta, and AWS. Ogunlende extended his deepest gratitude to Wema Bank PLC for their generous support, which covers 75% of the training costs.

Participants will receive hands-on training in the latest technologies, mentorship from industry experts, and the opportunity to work on projects addressing real-world challenges.

This initiative is a reflection of the state’s commitment to productive collaborations and is a testament to the Sanwo-Olu administration’s dedication to youth empowerment, development, and social inclusion—pillars central to the THEMES+ agenda.

“This program is a significant step in our ongoing efforts to tackle youth unemployment and provide our young people with they skills they need to succeed in a rapidly evolving job market,” said Ogunlende.
